Education & Expertise
Dr. Schmerge graduated from The Ohio State University before attending Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Life Science and Doctor of Chiropractic. During his time at Logan, he gained experience at outpatient clinics, including St. Patrick's Clinic and the St. Louis Adult Rehabilitation Clinic. He also contributed to the University of Missouri and Jefferson Community College sports programs.
He interned under Dr. Carl Makarewicz of Kare Chiropractic in St. Peters, Missouri, to deepen his knowledge and skills. Dr. Schmerge expanded his expertise by obtaining a Nutrition certificate and a Master's in Sports Science and Rehabilitation from Logan University. This additional training equips him to approach health and wellness holistically.

Rooted in a farm upbringing just outside Botkins, Dr. Schmerge's connection to his community runs deep.
Family-oriented and married to Jamie, Dr. Schmerge cherishes his role as a father to three wonderful children – Lydia, Cora, and Calvin.
